Now you can monitor the condition of every vending machine at all times, so you know about problems before your customers do. Here’s how it works. Every one of your vending machines at every location is fitted with an MEI Remote Date Port (RDP) radio telemeter. The MEI RDP plugs right into the DEX jack to get you the “freshest” data possible, so you can always keep your machines stocked just the way your customers like them and get instant updates if malfunctions occur. The RDP can be equipped with both a LAN telemeter and a WAN cellular communications telemeter. This LAN/WAN configuration maximizes the connectivity between your machines and saves you money on monthly cellular charges. Clusters of machines can share one cellular connection so you don’t need to buy a separate service for each machine. That means you save $7 - $10 per machine every month. When a maintenance call is needed, the critical information is collected by the RDP and passed through the LAN to the machine in that cluster that has the cellular connection. That machine then calls out on the network and connects with your home office via the Internet. And you get the info you need when you need it. |
